Kadukai, commonly known as Haritaki is widely being used from ancient times in Ayurvedic treatments. Kadukai has several health benefits and is rightly called “the mother of herbs”. It has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant as well as astringent properties which are highly beneficial for both hair and skin. When applied to hair, it prevents lice infection and thoroughly cleans the scalp. It also revitalizes the scalp and prevents the formation of dandruff. For external use on skin, it treats inflammations and gives relief from pain and swellings. The presence of antibacterial properties in Kadukai treats acne and prevents scarring from forming.

How to Use

For Skin: For a glowing skin, make a face pack by mixing 1 teaspoon of kadukai powder with nutmeg powder and honey. Apply the paste on your skin and wash it off after 20 mins. Try this twice in a week.

For Hair: Make a hair mask with kadukai powder, Amla powder, and thanrikai powder to promote hair growth and to prevent hair loss.
